Tron: Legacy Replica Motorcycle Suit

Merry Christmas!

December 25th, 2011

The more Christmas’ I have the more I appreciate just the time spent with family and friends. Whether those get-togethers are accompanied by gifts are not, I’m pretty happy with just hanging out, constant snacking and eating way too much food in general. What can I say, I love food and hanging out. I hope [...]

Whether those get-togethers are accompanied by gifts are not, I’m pretty happy with just hanging out, constant snacking and eating way too much food in general. What can I say, I love food and hanging out.

I hope everyone is enjoying their holiday and eating lots of chocolate/turkey/bread/cashews/stuffing/mashed potatoes/veggies/rice!

Just thought I’d do a post with some stuff from last night’s festivities caught on Instagram and some fun film stuff from my first two rolls with the Contax 645! Some were shot with Fujicolor Pro 400H  and some were shot with expired Kodak Vericolor III film.

Happy holidays!

1 Camera 1 Jake

December 18th, 2011

Many know Jake Mossop as the super dreamy registered nurse and panelist on MTV Canada‘s 1 girl 5 gays. Well I’ll tell you that he’s also one of the nicest guys I’ve ever met and if my memory serves me right, he was a fabulous prom date, a real gentleman and wasn’t too shabby on the dance [...]

Many know Jake Mossop as the super dreamy registered nurse and panelist on MTV Canada‘s 1 girl 5 gays. Well I’ll tell you that he’s also one of the nicest guys I’ve ever met and if my memory serves me right, he was a fabulous prom date, a real gentleman and wasn’t too shabby on the dance floor. Now from a photography standpoint, our prom ‘formal photo’ is pretty hilarious, dreadful, but hilarous.  Jake looks exactly the same, all cute and what not but I on the other hand….well I really should have done my own makeup. (Don’t ask for that photo, it’s somewhere in a box with other photos of classic high school hair and bad fashion choices.)

I was quite excited to do this shoot as Jake and I have been trying to set it up for ages but our schedules never worked out until recently. It was nice catching up and we got some hot photos along the way. A really fun shoot and I’m so happy to see him doing so well. If Jake’s not busy nursing people back to health you can catch him on MTV Canada‘s 1 girl 5 gays Fridays at 11PM et/pt.

So here’s my Christmas gift to all his fans. Dreamy just got hot.

Krystal + Seth | Barrie Engagement

December 5th, 2011

Two interesting facts about this engagement session: 1) They were the first couple to get infront of my new Contax film camera. 2) Krystal and Seth are probably the most camera shy people I have ever met. I don’t know about you but by looking at the photos, I’d say the camera, film and early morning [...]

Two interesting facts about this engagement session:

1) They were the first couple to get infront of my new Contax film camera.

2) Krystal and Seth are probably the most camera shy people I have ever met.

I don’t know about you but by looking at the photos, I’d say the camera, film and early morning sun loved them. I really had a blast shooting these guys and it was extra fun being able to use my Contax 645 film camera for part of the shoot. The camera is a beast to carry around but it’s well worth it! The first few images and a few of the detail photos were shot with film. With a little patience, the right light and composition, you get beautiful images straight out of the camera. The naturally beautiful, soft, warm images bring you to the moment the photo was taken. In these photos you can sense the calmness of the water, the quickly dissipating morning fog and the rising sun that’s warming up everything in its path. And the scene only gets better as two really good looking people stand amidst it all. Thank you Seth and Krystal for being such fantastic subjects. You two are obviously not as awkward as you think in front of the camera! You guys are going to be “that super cute couple in those wedding photos” very soon  ;)

Enjoy!
