Many know Jake Mossop as the super dreamy registered nurse and panelist on MTV Canada‘s 1 girl 5 gays. Well I’ll tell you that he’s also one of the nicest guys I’ve ever met and if my memory serves me right, he was a fabulous prom date, a real gentleman and wasn’t too shabby on the dance floor. Now from a photography standpoint, our prom ‘formal photo’ is pretty hilarious, dreadful, but hilarous.  Jake looks exactly the same, all cute and what not but I on the other hand….well I really should have done my own makeup. (Don’t ask for that photo, it’s somewhere in a box with other photos of classic high school hair and bad fashion choices.)

I was quite excited to do this shoot as Jake and I have been trying to set it up for ages but our schedules never worked out until recently. It was nice catching up and we got some hot photos along the way. A really fun shoot and I’m so happy to see him doing so well. If Jake’s not busy nursing people back to health you can catch him on MTV Canada‘s 1 girl 5 gays Fridays at 11PM et/pt.

So here’s my Christmas gift to all his fans. Dreamy just got hot.

My Esquire magazine inspired shoot I did awhile ago with my good friend Erin Kodama. I love the shots we got. This is still one of my favourite shoots because I think we spent more time laughing and eating cereal then being productive. Anyway, I shot these way back when but figured she looked so awesome I didn’t want to waste the images by just having them sit on my computer. I feel like I should include the outtakes because they’re hilarious and a great set in themselves haha.

Meet Alecia & Deen. I’ll be shooting their wedding this year and although I usually do an engagement shoot, we switched it up this time and did a maternity shoot instead. They came into the studio during the Fling into Spring Portrait session and I’ve never seen such a gorgeous pregnant woman! It must have been that pregnancy glow they talk about! Even though this was their first photoshoot, they were pros. They were so relaxed and easy going that it made my job feel like we were just hanging around taking photos. A really sweet couple! Congratulations to them on their engagement and their new family addition! Stay tuned for Part II with wedding festivities and a special appearance by Baby :)
