April 12th, 2013

Here’s a little preview of the up coming Costa Rica post! This is probably one of my favourite images from the trip. I don’t have many photos up in my house but this will definitely be made into a large print. Shot with Contax 645 camera on Kodak Ektar 100 film. Full post coming soon! [...]

I love jambalaya especially in New Orleans

January 4th, 2013

A few shots from my trip to New Orleans last May. I was there to photograph a wedding and was lucky enough to have some down time to check out the city. A really interesting place that I hope to visit again sometime soon. Lots of history, great food and hot sauces! Hopefully next time [...]

Hopefully next time I’ll make it out to Avery Island (home of Tabasco sauce) and the swamps!

Oak Alley Plantation Wedding | New Orleans | Destination Wedding Photographer

What can I say, this is definitely one of my favourite weddings and couples that I’ve photographed so far. This wedding at the beautiful Oak Alley Plantation in New Orleans was nothing short of breathtaking. This destination wedding was like no other. It’s always a welcomed change to be at a wedding like this where the bride and groom actually know everyone in attendance and the experience is much more intimate. I had so much fun hanging out with these two, meeting their family and friends and I’m so happy they chose ME to capture their big day.

New Orleans is such a vibrant and interesting place, I found it impossible to leave the hotel without bringing my camera with me. My Contax645 and Nikon D700 aren’t the most compact cameras to carry around but I couldn’t bare the thought of seeing something awesome and then relying on my iPhone. Having the opportunity to shoot in a location like New Orleans was amazing in itself but there’s nothing like running around the French Quarter, Jackson Square and Oak Alley Plantation photographing a wedding.  I seriously love my job! I literally was running, or at least fast walking a lot (it was ridiculously hot). It didn’t hurt to get a little bit of work out in there so I could indulge in all that delicious southern food. Shout outs to Arnaud’s and The Famous Gumbo Pot restaurant for serving up some awesome New Orleans cookin’! Man I love pasta jambalaya!

Congratulations guys! I wish you all the best!

Cambodia Pt. 2

April 25th, 2012

No paragraphs here, I will let the images speak for themselves. If you’ve never been to Cambodia, you should try to visit this amazing place at least once in your life.  It won’t be like anywhere you’ve been before. Enjoy and check out Part 1 of this series in the previous post!
