Jesleen + Jihad | Toronto Sikh Wedding | Graydon Hall Manor | Toronto Wedding Photographer

This was one of those weddings where you wanted to take in every sight and sound, colour and texture, feeling and moment. This was one of those weddings where you wanted to take in every sight and sound, colour and texture, feeling and moment. You couldn’t help but smile when you see all the family and friends and cultures coming together for the special occasion and just having a great time. Jesleen and Jihad’s traditional Sikh wedding ceremony at Graydon Hall Manor in Toronto was nothing short of beautiful. I love photographing occasions like this, the colours, clothing and traditions are always so beautiful to see.

Jihad and I actually go back a few years, we both used to dance in the CAISA Fashion Show at the University of Western Ontario. Actually, I was his choreographer and I couldn’t have asked for a better dance partner! If any of you want to see how badass his skills are, ask him to show you some moves from our New Kids on the Block/Janet Jackson number haha. He’s such a great guy and I really couldn’t be happier for him and Jesleen! Congratulations!

What can I say, this is definitely one of my favourite weddings and couples that I’ve photographed so far. This wedding at the beautiful Oak Alley Plantation in New Orleans was nothing short of breathtaking. This destination wedding was like no other. It’s always a welcomed change to be at a wedding like this where the bride and groom actually know everyone in attendance and the experience is much more intimate. I had so much fun hanging out with these two, meeting their family and friends and I’m so happy they chose ME to capture their big day.

New Orleans is such a vibrant and interesting place, I found it impossible to leave the hotel without bringing my camera with me. My Contax645 and Nikon D700 aren’t the most compact cameras to carry around but I couldn’t bare the thought of seeing something awesome and then relying on my iPhone. Having the opportunity to shoot in a location like New Orleans was amazing in itself but there’s nothing like running around the French Quarter, Jackson Square and Oak Alley Plantation photographing a wedding.  I seriously love my job! I literally was running, or at least fast walking a lot (it was ridiculously hot). It didn’t hurt to get a little bit of work out in there so I could indulge in all that delicious southern food. Shout outs to Arnaud’s and The Famous Gumbo Pot restaurant for serving up some awesome New Orleans cookin’! Man I love pasta jambalaya!

Congratulations guys! I wish you all the best!

Kelly + Brad | Newmarket Engagement

First official shoot of the new year! We were pretty lucky and had just missed the -16c day when we did this shoot last Sunday. Kelly & Brad chose a great spot for their engagement shoot and I think their dog Colby enjoyed the shoot as well! Why is it that dogs never get tired of finding a stick? LOL. I had a great time shooting all three of them but I realize I’m extremely out of shape. While Kelly and Brad casually strolled, I huffed and puffed and I was lucky there was no wind to blow me over lol.  I’m looking forward to getting back into the wedding season with all the lifting, squatting and running around.

These two are so sweet and I’m happy they’re the first wedding of the year! Yay to March, Kelly & Brad’s wedding, warmer weather and longer days!

Alecia + Deen | Toronto Wedding

November 19th, 2011

It was cold, windy and things were running late, it wasn’t exactly the best scenario for a wedding. However, when you saw Alecia and Deen, their faces told a different story – the day was perfect.  :)

Lora + Chris | Old Mill Inn | Toronto Wedding

November 4th, 2011

Even with 4 other weddings happening that day and 4 other nervous couples running around, it wasn’t hard to find Lora or Chris in the madness. The two looked fantastic and it was easy to spot them with their giant smiles! Shooting at The Old Mill Inn was also refreshing. I love the classic architecture [...]

The two looked fantastic and it was easy to spot them with their giant smiles! Shooting at The Old Mill Inn was also refreshing. I love the classic architecture and genuine rustic feel of the place. A welcomed change from the churches I’ve been at all summer! I had a blast shooting their wedding! Thank you Lora & Chris for letting me be a part of it! I wish you guys all the best!
