I love jambalaya especially in New Orleans

A really interesting place that I hope to visit again sometime soon. Lots of history, great food and hot sauces! Hopefully next time I’ll make it out to Avery Island (home of Tabasco sauce) and the swamps!

Michelle + Elton | Country Wedding in King City

There were many reason to love this wedding but the three that stand out are:

1) Two words – Rick Roll

2) I’ve never met a bride more excited about her photos

3) I could have watched Elton’s parents tear up that dance floor with their swing dancing all night

Seriously loved it all though. What can I say, when Michelle and I first met, I thought her enthusiasm for photography was just pre-wedding excitement as any bride would have. However, as we continued to correspond and speak, I quickly realized that she really did appreciate the art. That was refreshing. It’s always nice to meet someone who truly appreciates what you do and understands your ideas and visions. Thank you Michelle :)

Elton and Michelle were super easy going and fun to be around. The whole wedding crew was fun so it made my job a breeze. Gotta love weddings like that where it feels like you’re just hanging out. Although a storm threatened the middle part of the day, the rain quickly passed through at convenient times and the entire day went on without a hitch. Michelle and Elton also made my night when they told me they were going to Rick Roll everyone after their first dance. Amazing. I actually really love Rick Astley and that song. After that, it was a pretty jumpin’ dance floor and Elton’s parents were no slackers. I literally stood there watching them dance to  ”She Drives Me Crazy” by Fine Young Cannibals in awe. They were so good I couldn’t stop photographing them. Something about them reminded me of the young couple I recently saw swing dancing and tearing up the dance floor in a crowded New Orleans jazz club.  I love how dance transcends any era. As some of you may know, I’ve always had a little dance in me so this was my kind of wedding!

Michelle & Elton, I wish you and your families all the best!
