Visiting from New York City, model Tara Lengyel spent some time in Richmond Hill for a quick test shoot. We laughed about how from the photos you’d never know how filthy the location actually was haha. Considering how busy it was, our limitation for space and change rooms, Tara did a great job!

Last weekend was soooo busy. I had 5 shoots running 4 days straight with some of them going 3hrs+. Phewww that’s a lot of shooting! I’ve been trying to find time to post on here but haven’t had a chance yet. Plus I’d like to have the image done as part of a set :) However, I like this photo so much I couldn’t wait! This was shot as part of a editorial for new fashion designer Jennifer Lau. Jennifer contacted me about doing a shoot and when I saw the clothes, I already knew where I was going to do it. I’m looking forward to seeing more work from her soon!
Check out the first photo of the set! The rest will be coming shortly! And in keeping with my photographing of celebrity look-alikes, (first I had Nolan who resembled Nicholas Brendon), here I have model Jordan Ross who in this shot has an uncanning resemblance to Ashton Kutcher. Yes? No? Maybe? Let me know your thoughts!

I recently did a shoot with actor Tyce Philip Phangsoa in the infamous alley known as Graffiti Alley in Toronto. This area is a graffiti mecca, where the entire alley acts as galleries of colourful, intricate, works of art. It was also a great place to shoot Tyce because of the image he wanted to achieve and the versatility of the nearby surrounding area. Not to mention his amazing energy! This guy was ready to climb, jump, and move like nobody’s business! It was great working with someone so open to ideas and ready to share his creativity. The alley can be entered off of Spadina and it runs south of Queen Street West and extends past Portland. I assume lots of folks come down here for photos, videos, and projects. I saw other photoshoots, some filming and plenty of admirers during my morning there. So if you’re downtown wandering about this summer, it’s definitely worth a detour and stroll. Another great shoot and thanks to my friend Louise for the behind the scenes photos! Best of luck to Tyce and hopefully we’ll see him on the big screen soon! He has his own IMDB page!

CAISA ProgramApril 13th, 2010Here are a few scans from the CAISA Fashion Show program. Not the greatest quality scans and not all the pages but I’m way too lazy to scan and post all of them haha. I’m quite proud of the work! :) |
